Description: | 162 p, ills colour & bw, 24 x 22 cm, pb, English. Hugo Kaagman is the Dutch pioneer when it comes to street art: his works have marked the streets in and around Amsterdam since the late seventies ? coinciding with the punk and squat movements. His work is influenced by a striking mix of politics, reggae, Moorish architecture and Delft blue. Kaagman has evolved from an old school, politically motivated artist into a contemporary urban artist. Consequently, he was the only Dutch representative to be invited by Banksy and Tristan Manco to participate in their Cans Festival in 2008.
